Students arriving by car:

Meadowmount is 300 miles north of NYC, 145 miles north of Albany and 100 miles south of Montreal on route 1-87. Take Exit 32 and go west towards Lewis on Hwy 12. Turn left at truck stop (Dixon Rd-not marked) and it becomes Redmond Rd. Go 1 mile to stop sign/T in the road. Turn left and immediately bear right at the fork onto Lewis-Wadhams Road (County Rte 10). Concert Hall is first driveway on the right and the Main House/Office is second driveway on right.

Students arriving by Bus:

Adirondack Trailways stops in Keene Valley, 8 miles from school. Call 1-800-858-8555 for bus schedules.

Students arriving by train:

Railroad depot

Amtrak operates between New York City and Montreal, stopping at the Westport train station (8 miles from school). Call 1-800-USA-RAIL for train schedules. The once a day early morning train departure from Penn Station (NYC) usually makes for inconvenient use by students flying on the first leg of their trip. (Usually requiring an overnight stay). For those students it is usually best to book a flight to Burlington VT.

Students arriving by air:

Students arriving by air must make arrangements to fly into the Burlington, Vermont Airport only. Upon arrival, students take a taxicab to the Charlotte, VT-Essex, NY ferry landing in Charlotte, VT. (Approximately 35 minutes and $45.00 taxi fare) Students take the ferry to cross Lake Champlain to Essex, NY. Ferries (www.ferries.com) run every half-hour; crossing time is 20 minutes and and costs $6.25 round trip. (Price subject to change see ferry website.) Students are met by our van at the Essex, NY ferry landing. It is very important you do not schedule your flight arrival into Burlington airport after 9:00 pm, as it would not allow enough time for the student to make the last ferry that departs Charlotte, VT at 10:30pm.

Buses do not serve the immediate vicinity and it would then become necessary to book a hotel room on the Vermont side and wait for the first morning ferry. On the return trip, do not schedule your flight departure from Burlington before 9:00 am, as the first ferry to Vermont does not depart until 6:30 am.
