Scholarships
Scholarship assistance is available, but it is very limited. Priority is given to those showing highest merit as demonstrated on the audition tape. Financial need is used only as a secondary consideration. Please be aware that large scholarship requests without accompanying merit may jeopardize your acceptance. Requests for scholarship received after the application is processed or that do not contain all of the information requested* cannot be considered. Merit qualified students 16 and older may also receive or apply for work study jobs amounting to US$600, payment made upon completion of the work. Some jobs available are; stage crew, kitchen helper, office assistant, music store and recreation assistant.
Please investigate your local community (religious groups, schools, arts or civic organizations, and private donors) for alternate sources of financial aid. You may order the Meadowmount Video to assist in approaching prospective donors.
To be considered for scholarship, include a letter of request with your application. Your letter must include annual household income, your reasons for requesting a scholarship and amount requested. IRS forms are not needed.
Extra Lessons
Extra lessons are available from assistant teachers at the rate of US$30 per hour, payable directly to the assistant once at school. Most students take advantage of this opportunity. To request extra lessons, indicate on the application form the number you would like to take, so we may secure the services of the assistants. Extra lessons arranged with your teacher are priced at the teacher's studio rate and paid directly to them.
