Application Information
for 2014 Summer Session
June 21 to August 9

Instructions: First, read all the information below. Then click on the link at the bottom of the page to register your application online and upload your audition material and chamber music excerpts.

January 31: Application Deadline.

Audition Materials
Using the audition link at the bottom of this page, upload 15 minutes of unedited solo work in full video (DVD style). Include music representing your level of advancement. It is suggested, but not required, that you play a fast movement of a standard concerto with or without accompaniment, and a contrasting piece such as a movement of Bach. The following mandatory Chamber Music Excerpts must also be recorded in full video and uploaded. NOTE: your audition must be in video format - not audio-only.

Pianists should record 15 minutes of repertoire best demonstrating your current level of artistry and chamber music excerpts are not required.

Chamber Music Excerpts

Click your instrument below and print the excerpts. Please note that the excerpts are mandatory and need to be uploaded for auditioning. Chamber music placement is based on this part of the audition process.

Scholarship Applicants

Applicants requesting a scholarship can fill out the scholarship information online. We do ask for annual household income, amount requesting, musical accomplishments, goals, and reasons for requesting a scholarship. Priority is given to applicants showing highest merit on the audition. Financial need is a secondary consideration. See the Fees and Scholarships page for more information.

Application/Processing Fee

The non-refundable application fee: USD$100 for USA and International students is payable online by credit or debit card.

The online server charges USD$10 for uploading of application and audition materials and is payable online at the time of applying.

Total audition and processing fees are USD$110.

March 20: Admission Notification Letters Sent

If you have not received your notification letter by March 25 then please call or email the main office. International students are first notified by e-mail, followed by airmail letter notification.

April 1: US$900 Tuition Reservation Deposit, Waiver, Pledge and Passport Size Photograph Due

Include the signed pledge, waiver, and one passport size photograph with your tuition deposit. Deposits must be received in the Admissions Office (not postmarked) by April 1st. Arrival of the deposit after the April 1 deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list. We recommend sending reservation deposits by U.S. Postal Service Express Mail, Priority Mail with tracking or certified U.S. Postal Mail with tracking. There is no overnight delivery to our area, so please allow two days for Express Mail.

If using a COURIER SERVICE, such as FedEx, UPS or DHL Use the following address: Admissions, 3 Woodruff Lane, Elizabethtown, NY 12932. Lost or misdirected mail may jeopardize your reservation.

Cancellation before April 15: US$450 of the deposit will be refunded. Cancellation after April 15: no refund is given.

May 15: Balance of Account and Medical Forms Due

Balance of account must be paid in full on May 15th. Arrival of the final tuition payment after the May 15 deadline may result in loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list, as well as the US$50 late fee. 


Students withdrawing for any reason after May 15 will not receive a refund of tuition/room & board paid. 
If we can find a student to take your place then a portion of the tuition/room & board paid could be refunded.

ALL students MUST disclose immunization history on the Health Form. Incomplete medical forms will be returned and assessed a US$50 re-processing fee.

Off-campus students must notify us of their off-campus address.

Personal checks, money orders and travelers checks in US funds drawn on a US bank on US soil are accepted. Checks must have routing numbers on the bottom of the check. We regret we are unable to accommodate credit card payment or extended payment schedules.
