Application Information
for 2015 Summer Session
June 27 to August 15

Instructions:

  1. Read all the information on this page.
  2. Click on the “GO TO APPLICATION” link at the bottom of this page to register online via the Decision Desk portal.
  3. Fill out the online application.
  4. Upload your solo audition material and the chamber music excerpts in video directly onto the application site.
  5. Submit your application fee online.
  6. Confirm and you are done! You will receive an email confirmation.

APPLICATION TIMETABLE

January 31: Application Deadline.
(Late Applications will be considered if space is available.)

Audition Materials
We require a 15 minute video of unedited solo works. It is suggested, but not required, that you play a first movement of a standard concerto with or without accompaniment, and a movement of unaccompanied Bach. You may upload individual videos of your solo pieces or as one video. The following Chamber Music Excerpts must also be recorded and uploaded, but on a separate video from your solo work.
(The following video formats can be uploaded to the online application: mpeg, mpg, mp4, mov, avi, wmv, m4v, vob.)
NOTE: audio-only auditions will not be accepted.

Pianists should upload a 15 minute video of repertoire best demonstrating your current level of artistry and chamber music excerpts are not required.

Chamber Music Excerpts

Click your instrument below to print the excerpts. Please note that the excerpts are mandatory and must be uploaded as part of your audition. Chamber music placement is based on your performance of these excerpts. The excerpts must be uploaded on a separate video from your solo audition material.

Application/Processing Fee

The non-refundable application/processing fee is US $110.00
This fee is payable online by credit or debit card as the final step in submitting the application.

The online server charges USD$10 for uploading of application and audition materials and is payable online at the time of applying.

(The Application deadline can be extended until admission is full. After January 31st email the Admissions Office before applying.)

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION LETTERS

Notification letters are mailed by March 20th.
International students are notified by e-mail, followed by airmail letter notification. If you have not received your notification letter by March 25 please call or email the Admissions Office.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT

Tuition Reservation Deposit of US $900 is due April 1. Include the signed Pledge, Waiver, and one passport size photograph with the Tuition Reservation Deposit.

Your Reservation Deposit must be received (not postmarked) in the Admissions Office by April 1st. Arrival of the deposit after the April 1 deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list.

We recommend sending Reservation Deposits by U.S. Postal Service Express Mail, Priority Mail with tracking, Certified Mail with tracking, or Courier Service with tracking. There is no overnight delivery to our area, so please allow two days for Overnight or Express Mail.

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATION

Cancellations of your Reservation must be in writing via mail or email and received by the following dates.

Cancellation received by April 15: 1/2 of the Reservation Deposit will be refunded.

Cancellation after April 15: No refund is given.

ACCOUNT BALANCE AND MEDICAL FORMS

The Account Balance and Medical Forms are due May 15.
The balance of your account must be paid in full by May 15th. Arrival of the final tuition payment after the May 15 deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and placement on the wait list, as well as a $50 late fee.


 Students withdrawing for any reason after May 15 will not receive a refund of tuition/room & board paid. 
If we can find a student to take your place then a portion of the tuition/room & board paid may be refunded.

Personal checks, money orders and travelers checks in US funds drawn on a US bank on US soil are accepted. Checks must have routing numbers on the bottom of the check. We regret we are unable to accommodate credit card payment or extended payment schedules.
