Skye Carman

Skye Carman, violin, received her training at Curtis, Juilliard, and Meadowmount as a student of Ivan Galamian. She was concertmaster of the Holland Symphonia in the Netherlands from 1980 to 2005 when she left the orchestra to join the faculty of the Artez Conservatorium and to devote more time to her private students and the activities of the Galamian Institute of Music in Haarlem, the Netherlands.

She has developed several unique courses, including the Orchestral Audition Training, which she has given throughout the US and Europe. She is currently composing a series of Warm-up Etudes for violin and viola, which will be published in 2007. Since her student days at Meadowmount she has served the school in many capacities.
